Don't let this be you!

According to the latest Project Literacy Information Progress Report, the average college student lacks basic research skills.  An online survey polling 8,353 students from 25 college campuses discovered that 84 percent of students found that when it came to course-based research, getting started was their biggest challenge.  The three sources cited most often by students were course readings, search engines like Google, and scholarly research databases.  Only 30 percent asked a librarian for research help.  Read more about the study here.
