Google Art Project

Google Art Project is a unique online art experience in which users can explore a wide range of artwork at brushstroke level detail, take a virtual tour of a museum, or build their own online "collection" to share.  Currently, 151 museums are now partners in Google Art Project, providing over 30,000 artworks from 40 different countries.

Art forms included in the project are paintings, drawings, sculptures, historic and religious artifacts, photographs, manuscripts, and more.  Expertly narrated videos, audio guides, viewing notes, detailed information, and maps are also provided to enhance the range of content for visitors to enjoy.

Google has now also expanded the project to include Art Talks on Google+. The talks will be held as Google+ Hangouts On Air.  The first talk to be held is with the Museum of Modern Art and the topic is teaching art online.  Check it out!
