Author Lastname, Author Firstname. "Name of the Webpage/Online Article." Name of the Website, Date Published Online, URL.
MLA Style Image Citation Examples
When you find an image through a Google Image search, click on the "Visit" button to go to the webpage where that image lives.
Based on the webpage where the image lives:
- If the image is part of an article or webpage, and does not stand alone, cite the article or webpage as above.
- If the image is a standalone digital image, cite the image.
Artist Lastname, Artist Firstname (or username, if this is the only name provided). "Name of the Image." Name of the Website, Date Published Online, URL.
