Resources for Mrs. Woislaw's Hero Project

Below are some recommended resources for your hero research project. Feel free to look at other databases and books, too!

Databases and Online Reference Materials
(full list of available databases is here)
    • Biography in Context
(You either search for a person by name or occupation. For example, you can search for "scientist" to browse a list of people who have done that job, or search for a specific scientist right away.)
    • Britannica School
      Books
      • Biographies are shelved together in the library. Their call number is 921, and they are alphabetized by the last name of the person the book is about. For example, look for a biography of Malala Yousafzai by looking for the call number 921 You. Books that include biographies of multiple people (for example, a book about several civil rights activists) have the call number 920.
      • You can also search for books on your topic here.
